The Sunstoned Blog declares itself to be

An open forum examining the rich spiritual, intellectual, social and artistic qualities of Mormon history and contemporary life.
That's all fine and good. They explore the far reaches of intellecutalism in the hopes of proving once and for all they are smarter than the average blogger.

Well, Scot Denhalter is going to have to subtract himself from the smart guy list. Either that, or he's going to have to learn how to use the spell-check function of his word processor. Of all the places to make a spelling error, the title line is the most obvious.

So much for intelligence.

So much for, ahem, intellecutalism as well.

Whoa back - are you trying to start an all out war? Dave is not going to be happy to see you snarking Sunstone, given his contention that it falls outside of his Bloggernacle. DMI's defintions

I dont know about this one. I was under the impression that perhaps Sunstone was trying to go all Steve Jobs on the Naccle and be iTelligent, you know?

Peter:

Intellecutalism is not a word recognized by blogger's spell checker. Sue me.

Funny. Stephen Carter and I had a good-natured argument over whether Scot intended the misspelling or not. Stephen, citing Scot's "impeccable sense of humor" thought it intentional, a way of punching up his thesis. I wondered if Scot would take credit after Stephen pointed it out.

D. Golden caught me fair and square. Stephen was being generous in his speculation that I might have done it intentionally. Matt was right to doubt. All I can say in my own defense is that I’m getting married tomorrow. True story. I had a deadline to post and my mind was preoccupied with all the things I had yet to get done before the wedding. Still, my inattention may have born valuable fruit. I was unaware of the anti-intellectual feelings against the Sunstone blog. Do people really see us as thinking we are smarter than everyone else?
