Left in a huff, back in black. That didn't take long. Let us see if Steve Evans will sit it out for 6 months.

Thx e-mail tipster.

That's funny, but he hasn't come back to the Bloggernacle, just blogging.

Why would Steve Evans need to stay away 6 months? Did he ever claim he was going to?

Did you read JMW's latest post? "I hope that the participants of the 'Bloggernacle' will respect my wishes by refraining from linking to or talking about sixteen small stones."

Give me a break!! The first rule of puppet-club is don't talk about puppet-club.

Another scoop for the Snarkernacle. Very impressive. MA has got to add you to their aggregator now.

Often, I found my former blogs too topically restrictive.

...

For the record, I make no pretense at objectivity, fairness, or balance. I have an agenda: sixteen small stones is intended to promote what I believe to be true and discuss the things that I am interested in. I feel no obligation to give equal time to those who disagree with me on controversial subjects—they already have plenty of virtual bull-horns from which they incessantly proclaim their views as it is. I will not let them commandeer the discussions on my platform as well.

While I am interested in good discussion, here at sixteen small stones it will be a controlled discussion. I have implemented a stringent comment policy that requires that I approve any comments before they appear on the site...

Down with the old restrictions and up with the new ones!

I welcome the return of his voice to the blogging world. That said, it is easy to sound right when you delete any posts you don't approve of. I hope this agressive filtering/censoring/moderation will at least prevent the issue that caused him to bail last time.

John-- I think the point is that he doesn't want to be part of the bloggernacle. He only wants to hear from people he likes and think like he does. That's fine; we are all guilty of that a little, at least I am.

I say we respect his wishes and let him live in a Millennial Star world.

That last comment I made was just kind of mean. What I meant to say is just that JMW wanted to be found, since he's using the same name and making the same comments as he did when he left. Which is why I think it's probably a little weird that he renounces his renunciation of the "always winter and never Christmas" line.

Ned,

I'm actually happy that his blog will cover more than just typical bloggernacle topics. Danithew has done something similar at Wump and BlognativeDissonance. I wouldn't mind a more expansive definition of "bloggernacle blogs". I think it is odd that he is actively resisting being included in the bloggernacle. He can state his preference, but people will link to him if they want to.

It will be interesting to see if he posts on topics that reflect that he is reading the bloggernacle.
